Making Helm Hammerhand's War Hammer from War of the Rohirrim | LOTR EVA Foam Build Rohan Warhammer

 

Hello Everyone! I went to see The War of the Rohirrim the weekend it opened, and I was very pleasantly surprised. There had been so much negative talk about it prior to its release, so when I went, I wasn't expecting too much. But was I wrong! 

It was clear that @wetaworkshopnz was involved in the process because they remained true to the world, they created back for the LOTR and Hobbit trilogies! It was refreshing to see a legitimate homage to Tolkien's world for the fanbase, then more recent "creations".

I knew before the release I wanted to make Helm's hammer, but I wanted to make one inspired by the concept art more so than the scaled down version for the film. Plus, as far as I know, it's the first prop from the movie to be made on a fan's channel:)
