How to Make Theoden's Shield with EVA Foam | LOTR Shield Prop Build | King of Rohan Royal Shield


Hello Everyone! With the release of The War of the Rohirrim releasing soon, I wanted to make something from the OG film trilogy, and since I haven't made anything from the realm of Rohan, I thought it was about time. 


Early this year Weta Workshops unveiled their 1:6 scale figure of Theoden on Snowmane. The detail in their sculpts is always amazing, and the shield felt like it would be the perfect start to building up a Rohan collection. 


The design looks really complicated to build but once I got into it, it was actually really easy. The embossing and the scoring add so much detail to the piece and since it is for the King it is covered in detail.

Hi Everyone! A few of you have been asking me to make Boromir's shield, and I finally managed to do it!  I decided to make it as close to the screen used prop as possible, and after much research that meant making a shield with a convex front surface and a flat back surface. The shield is made with EVA foam and uses lauan to create a suitable support surface to adhere the foam to, and also incorporates metal into the grip and brackets in order to make it more durable for larping needs. Even with these added elements the shield is very light and weighs under 5 lbs. Hello Friends! I have been a huge fan of the Lord of the Rings movies, ever since they came out when I was a kid. In fact, they are the main reason why I became a propmaker! I went to see each one in the theatre multiple times, and when the extended editions came out with all the behind-the-scenes bonus features, I would prop myself up in front of the TV and not move all weekend until I had watched and rewatched every featurette.  I now had the time to make this Uruk-Hai General Helmet from The Two Towers, I wished it had made the films, it would have been very impressive on the big screen. Making a Life-size IG-12 Droid from The Mandalorian, Part 2 - The Chest with Grogu | STAR WARS

Hello friends! Here is the 2nd video showing you how I made this life-sized IG-12. Several months ago, I went a little crazy and began to make a life-size IG-12 droid so my @Mattel Grogu figure would have a place to hang out.
