Hello Friends! Buddy here again with another Lord of the Rings themed build! As many of you know I've been a huge fan of the Lord of the Rings movies, ever since they came out when I was a kid. In fact, they are the main reason why I became a propmaker!  This has been on my "to-make-list" for years, but the shape has been intimidating, so I sat myself down and was like, just do it for god's sake! Continuing to build some LOTR props, this week's build is this staff from The Two Towers and The Return of the King. I was surprised how easy and fast this project was to complete. Hello Friends! Orcrist is one of the swords from the Middle-Earth universe I have been wanting to add to my collection for some time now, but I just haven't been able to get one. So, I just decided to make one myself.  Originally when I started the build I started with over 10 pieces, but I found out this was just too many joints to fill, smooth, and blend. So, I combined several of the pieces to make assembly a whole lot easier, and those are the ones included in the zip file. Hello Friends! Continuing with the lightsaber builds, this week I'll show you how I made the Return of the Jedi version of Luke Skywalker's lightsaber. We also got to see this same saber in the Mandalorian series and the The Book of Boba Fett. The Luke's and Obi-Wan's were made at the same time, so the processes are very similar, but Luke's is an easier build and finish compared to Obi-Wan's. Hello Everyone! It's been weeks since I've made a Star Wars blaster, and since I've made so many, I needed to decide which one was next. So, I landed on this DLT-19X! From what I can tell the X-designation means the DLT-19 has the sniper scope on it. Otherwise, we got to see a version of the DLT-19 in A New Hope during the iconic "These are not the droids you are looking for" scene.  I hope you enjoy this build and find it useful! Hello Everyone! This sword is one of my favorites from the Middle-Earth universe, and one I have been wanting to add to my collection for a long time now. Its first appearance in the Hobbit film series was in "The Desolation of Smaug" when Thranduil frees the Warg Rider's head from his miserable shoulders, but we really get to see it in action during the "Battle of the Five Armies" alongside it's twin.  The stl files (link to original is below) were slightly smaller than what I was looking for. The original pieces add up to ∼39.5in (1003.3mm), but I wanted the size to be more accurate to the United Cutlery replica which measured ∼41.875in (1063.6mm). This means each piece needed to be scaled up by 6.4%. I have provided these measurements below along with the print settings if you wish to print at my larger scale.  Once the pieces were printed, sanded, attached and primed, I applied silver leaf to the entire sword in order to achieve an authentic movie finish...

Hello Everyone! My friend was having a birthday a few weeks ago, and he is a big Vader fan. Trust me this guy collects anything Vader he can get his hands on. So, I wanted to give him a gift he couldn't get anywhere else.  The 3D file I downloaded from Brad Harris on Thingiverse, and printed on my Ender 3 Pro (print settings are listed below), and the glove for Vader's severed hand I purchased at the Halloween store back in October. I found when I was putting the lightsaber in the armature's hand, that I found I needed to over-tighten the grip in order for the armature to hold it firmly.  I hope you enjoy this build, as much as my friend did when he received it (maybe he will let me show a video of his reaction).
